Multi-instrumetalist, producer and composer, Chris Whatley (Wotlie) is based on Tokyo, Japan. His music takes influences from all genres, combining elements of all kinds of music, from electronic to rock to folk to punk to funk to hip-hop.

 

Starting his career in London as an acoustic singer-songwriter, Wotlie progressed into DJing the clubs of Tokyo, then quit the decks in favour of touring with heavy rock band The Dirty T's.  Wotlie's forthcoming release, Little Thing, marks a return to the singer-songwriter genre, fused with elements of hip hop, ambient and jazz mashed up with huge vocal harmonies.
